KUCHING: In conjunction with Premier Datuk Patinggi Tan Sri Abang Johari Tun Openg’s 8th anniversary in office, the youth of Sarawak have expressed their appreciation and hopes for the Premier’s leadership, which has brought significant progress to the state.

They also conveyed their deepest gratitude for his dedication in advancing the state’s development and improving the well-being of its people.

In an interview with Sarawak Tribune, several youth shared their thoughts and aspirations on the occasion of the Premier’s 8th anniversary.

Happy 8th anniversary, Premier! We, the youth of Sarawak, express our highest appreciation for your leadership and dedication in developing the state. We hope that by continuing to uphold the principles of inclusiveness, sustainable development and the well-being of the people, Sarawak will continue to progress.

We also hope for increased job opportunities, training programmes, and platforms to help us contribute more to the state. Additionally, we hope to see expanded educational and entrepreneurship programmes to make Sarawak’s youth more globally competitive.

Furthermore, we, the youth, express our desire for Sarawak to remain a harmonious and united state, and we call for more programmes to strengthen unity among youth from various ethnic and cultural backgrounds.
