SIBU: Pesaka Bumiputera Bersatu (PBB) Pelawan Youth Wing is set to organise a fishing competition for the public at Sibu town square Phase II waterfront on Aug 13.
The competition, which will be held from 9 am to 1 pm, offers total prizes worth RM2,200.
A press release from PBB Pelawan Youth Wing today stated the competition is divided into three categories, namely the heaviest fish, the most fish and the fastest catch.
For each category, the champion will receive cash of RM300 plus hamper, first runner-up (RM200 plus hamper) and second runner-up (RM150 plus hamper).
The competition is limited to 100 participants with each participant to have not more than three fishing rods.
Participating fee is RM30 per fishing rod.
Entry form for the competition should be submitted to the organiser not later than Aug 10.
