KUALA LUMPUR: Yayasan Peneraju (YP) is celebrating its 14th anniversary by introducing a Malaysian Institute of Accountants (MIA) membership fee rebate to help its accounting talents and alumni progress toward the Chartered Accountant (CA) (Malaysia) designation.
The rebate, available as a one-time application per applicant and worth up to RM850 for the 2026 MIA membership year, is open to eligible YP talents and alumni who still have an outstanding repayment balance with the foundation.
Applicants must meet both MIA’s membership requirements and YP’s repayment criteria, either a minimum 30% repayment of the total outstanding amount or an initial RM2,000 payment.
Chief executive officer Ibrahim Sani said the initiative is designed to remove practical barriers at a critical stage of an accountant’s journey.
“We want our Bumiputera accounting talents to take the next step with confidence towards the CA (Malaysia) designation while reinforcing responsible repayment behaviour.
“This allows us to recycle funds into new financing packages and extend opportunities to the next wave of talents.”
Since its inception, YP has empowered over 90,000 Bumiputera individuals across high-impact areas, including technology and professional development.
In 2025 alone, YP processed more than 19,000 applications under its programmes, with about 2,000 in accounting, the highest intake for the field in its history.
This year, YP aims to train 2,000 more professionally qualified accountants, as part of a broader goal to produce 5,000 annually by 2030.
