KUALA LUMPUR: The Yu Cai Foundation (YCF) has officially announced the opening of its 2025 Form 6 Sponsorship programme, inviting applications from eligible Malaysian students beginning August 1 until 31.
This annual initiative is open to all Form 6 students currently enrolled in their first semester.
Successful applicants will be awarded a sponsorship of up to RM3,000 to support them throughout their Form 6 education.
“The sponsorship aims to nurture academic excellence and ease the financial burden of deserving Malaysian students.
“It is our commitment to ensure equitable access to quality education and to support the multicultural and multilingual heritage of Malaysia,” said YCF through a press statement today.
Applicants must fulfill several key criteria: they must be Malaysian citizens who have completed SPM and accepted into Semester One of Form 6; come from households with a combined monthly income not exceeding RM6,250; and obtained at least Grade C in Bahasa Melayu and a pass in Sejarah, as well as a minimum of 5As (A+/A/A-) in SPM.
“Sponsored students must maintain a minimum CGPA of 2.50 throughout the programme and must not be receiving other scholarships, sponsorships, bursaries, or study loans.
“Only one member per family may receive the sponsorship in a given year, unless special circumstances apply,” it said.
The online application can be submitted via the official website at www.ycf.org.my from August 1 to 31.
Applicants must also submit certified true copies of all required documents online and send physical copies to the YCF office by September 7 to complete the application process.
Yu Cai Foundation, established in 2015 by the late Ananda Krishnan Tatparanandam and the Usaha Tegas Group, has supported more than 7,000 students and in-service teachers across Malaysia, disbursing over RM27.5 million in scholarships and sponsorships.
