SPOTIFY has once again removed millions of streams from its platform in an effort to crack down on artificial plays — and this time, BTS’ Jimin took one of the biggest hits.

At the start of this month, Spotify conducted its usual stream clean-up, a monthly practice where it deletes what it considers “fake” or “artificial” streams. According to Spotify, these include plays made by bots, scripts, or anything that doesn’t reflect “genuine user listening intent”.

While several K-Pop idols saw their numbers drop, Jimin’s solo track “Who” was hit the hardest. Reports say over 15 million streams were removed in this recent sweep alone. Since the song’s release, more than 200 million streams have been deleted from the track’s total, making it one of the most heavily impacted K-Pop songs on the platform.

Other BTS members weren’t spared either. Jin’s “Don’t Say You Love Me” reportedly had over 15 million streams deleted, while Jungkook and V also lost millions from tracks like “Seven”, “3D”, and “Winter Ahead”.

BLACKPINK’s Rosé and Jennie also saw dips, with around 2 million streams each removed from “rosé” and “Like Jennie”.
