SRI AMAN: The Sarawak Road Transport Department (RTD) has issued a total of 26 non-compliance notices against motorists during an integrated operation here yesterday (Feb 15).
According to the department, the operation was conducted with the Sarawak Immigration Department from 10 pm on Friday until 4 am on Saturday.
Such operations aim to enhance compliance with traffic laws as well as laws under the enforcement agencies.
The teams inspected a total of 339 various vehicles, and issued 26 non-compliance notices for various traffic offenses throughout the operation.


Aside from notices issued, the Immigration Department also arrested 10 foreign individuals for further action and investigation.
The RTD stated that cooperation between agencies in the operation is a proactive measure to maintain safety as well as increase awareness and safety of road users.
The department reminded all road users to adhere to traffic laws and prioritise road safety.
