
KUCHING: Ex-students of the Tanjung Lobang Welfare Association in Miri recently brought joy to 35 pupils of SJK Chung Hua, Sg Tapng, Batu Kawa, Kuching where they were feted to a brunch and presented with gifts of goodies and “angpow”.
As part of its charity program, the event was held in conjunction with the coming Chinese New Year celebration.
It also aims at fostering cordial relationships and understanding as well as nurturing a caring society among the various races in Sarawak.
Each pupil received RM50 and a goodie bag containing biscuits and oranges.
Political secretary to the Chief Minister, Tan Kai gave away the goodies.
