KUCHING: Head of State Tun Pehin Sri Dr Wan Junaidi Tuanku Jaafar conferred state honours on 149 recipients during an investiture ceremony held at Astana Sarawak on Tuesday.
Accompanying him at the ceremony was his wife, Toh Puan Datuk Patinggi Fauziah Mohd Sanusi.
The investiture ceremony commenced with the conferment of the Darjah Utama Yang Amat Mulia Bintang Kenyalang Sarawak Pegawai Bintang Kenyalang (P.B.K.) on 13 recipients, namely Awang Yusup Awang Mostapha, Cerisologo Sabut, Ismail Kasah, Dr Nicholas Janek, Dr Victor Luna Amin, Mohamad Razali Arshad, Mohammad Nizam Wang, Omar Bahrein Unin, David Branch Ambor, Gilbert Igi, Bahrin Kawi, Yasit Abd Razak and Joseph Liaw.
A total of 21 individuals then received the Pingat Pentadbiran Awam Pingat Perkhidmatan Bakti (P.P.B.), including Allin Bandang, Azman Mahli, Bilong Engkas, Johny Karin, Mohammad Mubarak Abdillah Su’ut, Peter@Dembap Martin, Rosman Wak, Sonny Ng, Tan Phang Chia, Will Paul Bilun, Yusniman Mohamad, Zehnder Jarroop Augustine Mercer, Adzlin Mohd Yusuf, Diana Rafidah Majani, Evelyn Ajang, Michele Mejin, Nancy Lai Siew Joon, Rosemiyati Mohamad Nawawi, Sabariah Nawawi, Sharifah Zurina Wan Noruddin and Wong Lian Sin.
The Darjah Yang Amat Mulia Bintang Sarawak Ahli Bintang Sarawak (A.B.S.) was subsequently conferred on 10 recipients: Andy Suot, Berawoh Kudi, Chang Shiu Chong, Changgai Dali, Donny Inam, Francis Mengga Jonathan Philip, Juli Gindi, Lian Terawe, Lengan@Wat Uyak and Law Cheng Ching.
The ceremony continued with the conferment of the Darjah Utama Yang Amat Mulia Bintang Kenyalang Sarawak Ahli Bintang Kenyalang (A.B.K.) on 24 recipients, including Jadry Lai, Alias Bon Ulat and Andrick Romeo Bimbang, among others. This was followed by the presentation of the Pingat Pentadbiran Awam Pingat Perkhidmatan Terpuji (P.P.T.) to 37 recipients, including Abdul Hamid Bakar, Abang Sulaiman Abang Taha and Abdul Rahman Abdullah, among others.
The investiture concluded with the conferment of the Darjah Yang Amat Mulia Bintang Sarawak Bentara Bintang Sarawak (B.B.S.) on 44 recipients, including Abang Aziz Abang Bolhassan, Abdul Muttalip@Hassan Junaidi, Abdul Senu Mohd Su’if and Abdur Rahman Abdul Rahim, among others.
Also present at the ceremony were State Legislative Assembly Speaker Tan Sri Datuk Amar Mohamad Asfia Awang Nassar, Deputy Minister for Energy and Environmental Sustainability Datuk Dr Hazland Abang Hipni, Deputy Minister for Education, Innovation and Talent Development Datuk Dr Annuar Rapaee, and Deputy Minister for Infrastructure and Port Development Datuk Aidel Lariwoo.
