SIMANGGANG: The Civil Defence Force here is always ready to render assistance if there is a call for help, said its officer, Captain Siti Huzaimah Ibrahim.

According to her, the Malaysia Civil Defence Force (APM) receives various calls from the public.

“There are a lot of cases such as accidents, destroying the nests of poisonous insects, catching snakes, removing tree trunks that block roads, and so on.

“In short, if there’s a call, we will come down … to help the people,” she said.

She added that at 10am yesterday, APM Sri Aman district personnel were deployed to remove a 14-foot-long fallen tree that has made the road at Jalan Paip here inaccessible.
