KUCHING: Chief Minister Datuk Patinggi Abang Johari Tun Openg received a courtesy call from Taiyo Yuden (Sarawak) Sdn Bhd chief executive officer Akimoto Yoshio in his office at Wisma Bapa Malaysia in Petra Jaya here yesterday.
Akimoto came to discuss the company’s plan to expand its Muara Tabuan operations in the Samalaju Industrial Zone.
Afterwards, the chief minister received a courtesy call from Sacofa Sdn Bhd managing director Zaid Zaini.
He told the chief minister that the company was ready to support telecommunications development programmes in Sarawak in the state’s bid to achieve an advanced status by 2030.
