SERIAN: Police reminded the public to abide by the movement control order (MCO) when going to Bank Simpanan Nasional (BSN) branches for their collection of the Bantuan Perihatin Nasional (BPN) and Sarawakku Sayang financial aid.

Its district police chief DSP Aswandy Anis further stated that recipients should also wear face masks and maintain a social distance of one metre to prevent the transmission of Covid-19.
“The recipients should head home immediately once their business at the bank is done to avoid congestion,” he said in a statement yesterday.

Aswandy noted that to facilitate the flow of the public, Serian IPD have approached BSN management to station police personnel at the bank to ensure that the public compliance with the MCO.

Apart from that, People’s Volunteer Corps (Rela) personnel will also be on duty.
He added that based on the first day of monitoring on the aid distribution on Saturday, he found that the public have complied with the MCO.

Serian IPD hoped that such action would continue until the end of the aid distribution period to prevent the spread of Covid-19.
