KUCHING: The head of state, Tun Pehin Sri Abdul Taib Mahmud received a courtesy visit from the Chief of Defence Force, General Tan Seri Affendi Buang at Demak Jaya today.
This is Affendi’s first courtesy visit on Taib since he was appointed as the Chief of Defence Force in January this year.
He was accompanied by the Army Eastern Field commander, Lt-Gen Datuk Zakaria Yadi and First Infantry commander, Maj-Gen Datuk Dzulkafli Mustaffa.
