PAKAN: Residents of the Ulu Julau area here are set to enjoy various sports activities following the approval of the building of a multipurpose court in Emperan Datuk, Sungai Pinang.
Pakan assemblyman Tan Sri William Mawan Ikom said RM200,000 from the rural transformation programme (RTP) fund was allocated for the construction of the court.
“Residents of the area, consisting people from at least 10 longhouses, will be able to use the multipurpose court.
“Good road networks leading to the area will also make it easier for the people to use this court,” he said at a brief handing over ceremony of the project site last Monday (Sept 21).
William added that the construction of the court will commence in the near future.
“I hope that the construction runs smoothly and meets the quality and specifications set,” he said.
