BINTULU: Firemen rescued a dog after it fell into a sewage pond at the Bintulu Development Authority (BDA) Samalaju quarters last Sunday (Feb 21).
Samalaju fire station despatched firemen to the scene after receiving a distress call around 2.55pm.
At first, the firemen tried to rescue the dog with their hands.
When the attempts failed, they placed a ladder at the side of the pond to make it easier for the dog to climb up on its own.
The firemen returned to their station at 4.25pm after the animal was rescued.
