The Puncak Borneo assemblyman said that by taking the vaccine, it will protect life and the economy will improve as life could return to normal after 70 percent of Malaysian population is vaccinated and herd immunity can be achieve.

“I, therefore, called upon all Malaysians, especially those in Puncak Borneo, to register for the vaccination,” he said in a Facebook post on Monday (March 15).

Those that have yet to register, Willie said they can register themselves via MySejahtera app or through the website at www.vaksincovid.gov.my.

“We need to ensure the government’s goal of achieving the target of vaccinating 70 percent of the population and thus establish herd immunity,” he said.

He added the administration of the vaccine is free for all Malaysians aged 18 years old and above.

Earlier during the day, Willie also got his first shot of the vaccine at Putrajaya Precinct 18 Health Clinic.
