MIRI: Miri City Council (MCC) has so far helped the operators and workers of more than 600 licensed premises register for the Covid-19 vaccination to expedite the inoculation programme.
These premises, which were involved in the business sectors, were allowed to operate during the current movement control order (MCO), disclosed the council in a statement today (June 8).
MCC pointed out that these sectors were in constant contact with the general public.
The council said it had been helping in the Covid-19 vaccination registration through an arrangement with Ministry of Local Government and Housing since May 28, 2021.
It added it was still carrying out this exercise and urged operators of licensed premises to register for vaccination early.
