KABONG: Discussion has been held to develop recreation areas and accommodation at Kampung Nyabor here.
According to Sarawak Public Communication Unit (Ukas) in a news report on Saturday (Jan 22), Kabong assemblyman Mohd Chee Kadir had attended a discussion to deliberate on the matter at the Kabong Service Centre recently.
The discussion was held with Koperasi Klinik Anda Sarawak Berhad manager Suriati Abdul Rahman and assistant manager Mohd Hafifi to make Kampung Nyabor a focus of the local community as well as for visitors to the area.
It is also said that the programme, in collaboration with the said cooperative and Cooperative Commission of Malaysia, is also to highlight Kabong District as a tourism centre and resort.
Apart from that, it is also to create employment opportunities for the local community and subsequently to boost the economy of the people in the area.
