MIRI: The National Anti-Drugs Agency (AADK) here detained nine drug addicts during a raid held at six villages in Bukit Peninjau and Tusan on Friday.
All nine suspects tested positive for Syabu.
According to a spokesperson of AADK Miri, the suspects, aged between 22 and 52, were picked up in an operation that started at 9 pm and ended at 4.30 am.
Fourteen individuals were inspected during the seven-hour operation conducted jointly with the Subis One Stop Committee.
The operation covered Kampung Beraya, Kampung Keluru Tengah, Kampung Keluru Jaya, Kampung Sebalik, Kampung Manjelin and Kampung Rambai.
All nine suspects were detained under Section 3(1)of the Drug Dependents (Treatment and Rehabilitation) Act 1983.
