THE second day of the third session of the first term of the 19th Sarawak Legislative Assembly (DUN) commenced on Today (Nov 22) with elected representatives from across the state converging on the DUN complex.

The sitting began with a prayer at 9.07am in the DUN chambers.

DUN Speaker Datuk Amar Tan Sri Mohamad Asfia Awang Nassar said leave of absence was granted to Engkilili assemblyman Johnical Rayong Ngipa from yesterday (Nov 21) to Today (Nov 22).

The sitting proceeded with an hour of question-and-answer session followed by second and third reading of the Electronic Sarawak Government Activities Bill 2022 by Minister for Utility and Telecommunication, Datuk Julaihi Narawi; Constitution of the State of Sarawak (Amendment) (No. 2) Bill 2022 by Deputy Minister in the Premier’s Department (Law, MA63 and State-Federal Relations, Datuk Sharifah Hasidah Sayeed Aman Ghazli; and Sarawak Sovereign Wealth Future Fund Board Bill 2022 by Minister for Finance and New Economy, Datuk Patinggi Tan Sri Abang Johari Tun Openg.
