KUCHING: Narcotics police here arrested six men at Kampung Astana Lot on Thursday (Jan 19) for substance abuse and distribution.
Kuching OCPD ACP Ahsmon Bajah said the arrests were carried out around 1.50am after receiving information pertaining to the activities.
“Inspections led to the seizure of 29 plastic packets containing drugs believed to be syabu, three aluminium foil strips containing 10 Erimin 5 pills and six plastic packets containing dried leaves believed to be marijuana.
“All the drugs weighing 56.20g, are estimated to be worth around RM3,505,” he said.
ACP Ahsmon disclosed that all six suspects also tested positive for amphetamine, methamphetamine and tetrahydrocannabinol.
The case is being investigated under Section 39A(1) and Section 15(1)(a) of the Dangerous Drugs Act 1952.
