Rundi ensures smooth visit to longhouse for Yang di-Pertuan Agong’s Borneo journey

BINTULU: Yang di-Pertuan Agong Al-Sultan Abdullah Ri’ayatuddin Al-Mustafa Billah Shah and the Raja Permaisuri Agong Tunku Azizah Aminah Maimunah Iskandariah is scheduled to continue their Kembara Kenali Borneo to Raymond Plen longhouse in Sungai Gelam, Sebauh here tomorrow (Sept 11).

The convoy is expected to arrive at the longhouse at 10am.

To ensure the event runs smoothly, Food Industry, Commodities and Regional Development Minister Datuk Seri Dr Stephen Rundi Utom inspected the preparations at Raymond Plen longhouse on Saturday.

The Yang di-Pertuan Agong and the Raja Permaisuri Agong are scheduled to hold various activities with the people including cooking and fishing in the longhouse as well as handing over assistance to the less fortunate.

Afterward, the Kembara Kenali Borneo convoy will proceed to Tatau before departing for Yu Lung San Tian En Si Temple in Sibu.

Today (Sept 10), the King and entourage started their convoy in Bintulu at Kampung Penan Muslim, Batu 10.

The village was chosen as the first stop for the Bintulu section after the convoy visited Miri.
