TEBEDU: Two Rural Transformation Project (RTP) worth RM250,000 for upgrading purposes at Tebedu constituency have handed to the Serian Irrigation and Drainage Department (DID) and the Serian District Council to be supervised.
According to Tebedu assemblyman Simon Sinang Bada, the two agencies have been responsible for monitoring the progress of the project until the project is completed, with an implementation period of six months.
He said the two RTPs were for the upgrading of concrete drains at SK Parun Suan and for renovation upgrade of St. James Church Kampung Pengkalan Amo.
“The drain upgrade project at SK Parun Suan includes building and installing sewers in every location that requires a good irrigation system to prevent flash floods.
“While the upgrade work of St. James Church includes the installation of ceilings, the windows and doing new wiring,” he said after checking both locations during the site visit.
