SIBU: Junior Chamber International (JCI) Sibu successfully organised the “Parents’ Appreciation Cake Decorating Workshop” at U & Me Bakery here recently, bringing together children and families for a meaningful and heartwarming session.

A press release from JCI Sibu stated that the workshop aimed to encourage participants to express their appreciation and love for their parents through a handmade gift.

For many participants, it was their first experience decorating a cake. Under the guidance of the instructor, they learned basic decorating techniques while adding their own creativity and personal touches to their cakes.

Beyond learning a new skill, the workshop carried a deeper message, that the most meaningful gifts are often not purchased but created through time, effort and heartfelt intentions. Each cake became a unique expression of gratitude, love and family appreciation.

JCI Sibu believed that activities like this provide valuable opportunities for children and families to spend quality time together, strengthen family bonds, and create lasting memories. The workshop also encouraged creativity, patience, and self-expression among participants.

The organisation extends its appreciation to U & Me Bakery for supporting the event and to all participants who contributed to its success.

“JCI Sibu remains committed to organising meaningful community and family-oriented programmes that create positive impact in society,” the statement added.
