PADAWAN: The Padawan Municipal Council (MPP) is inviting industrial and commercial entities to establish their premises under the municipal’s jurisdiction by giving priority for faster approval of its building plans.
MPP chairman, Tan Kai said the council oversees a total of 77,000 premises presently and it aimed to facilitate growth and development in both the industrial and commercial sectors.
“Among these total premises, 91 per cent are residential, seven per cent are commercial, and only two per cent are industrial.
“There is ample room for development in MPP, especially in commercial and industrial sectors.
“If they engage in commercial or industrial activities and submit plans to MPP, they will be given priority. This means faster approval for their building plans,” he added.
He made these remarks while officiating at the Gawai Dayak celebration which was attended by almost 400 of its staff at the MPP’s headquarters here yesterday.
The event is an annual celebration, celebrating every festive occasion together with staff members.
“In this gathering, we create platform for everyone to know each other, and promote community bonding through unity in diversity, he stated.
Also present were Kota Sentosa state assemblyman Wilfred Yap and Sarawak Motorsports Association president Datuk Ahmad Datuk Sri Ibrahim.
