SIBU: The Lions Club of Sibu Pahlawan (LCSP) recently donated 41 scales to Sibu General Hospital (35 scales) and Sibu Oya Polyclinic (6 scales).
The donation, sponsored by past president Andrew Wong, underscores the club’s commitment to community service.
LCSP’s 1st Vice President James Wong presented the equipment to Dr Nizam Ishak, Deputy Director of Sibu General Hospital, and Melinda Wong Kwong Hung, Chairperson of the Advisory Committee of Polyclinic Oya.
The handover ceremony, attended by Lions International District 308-A2 3rd Vice Governor Datuk Jimmy Tie and Sibu General Hospital’s Board of Visitors Chairman Michael Lee, was a simple yet meaningful event.
Representatives from both healthcare institutions expressed gratitude for the donation, stating that the scales will significantly improve medical processes and patient care.
The club remains dedicated to serving the community and will continue to implement impactful initiatives.
