MIRI: A blood donation campaign to encourage more people to donate blood and help save lives will take place at the Boulevard Shopping Mall on Saturday (Feb 8).
The blood donation campaign, organised by Pergerakan Wanita Progressive Democratic Party (PDP) in collaboration with Malaysian Red Crescent Society (PBSM) and Miri Hospital Transfusion Medicine and Blood Bank, covering the Telang Usan, Mulu, Marudi, Piasau and Pujut areas, aims to raise awareness of the importance of blood donation and to provide donors with added benefits.
The campaign is scheduled to run from 9am to 1pm on Level R, which is above Level 3 of Boulevard Shopping Mall.
The first 60 successful donors will receive special gifts, including rice, while all participants will be awarded a certificate of appreciation.
Additionally, attendees will also have the opportunity to get free health screening conducted by AlproClinic.
