BINTANGOR: Deputy Premier Datuk Amar Dr Sim Kui Hian continued his Chinese New Year 2025 visits yesterday to foster unity and strengthen relationships.

Accompanied by his wife, Datin Amar Enn Ong Siok Ean, he visited the residence of Meradong assemblyman and Sarawak United People’s Party (SUPP) Bintangor Branch chairman, Datuk Ding Kuong Hiing.

During the visit, Dr Sim had the opportunity to meet and extend Chinese New Year greetings to the leadership of the SUPP Bintangor Branch, including the party’s Executive Committee, Women’s Wing, and Youth Wing.

As a symbolic gesture of the celebration, he also took part in the Lao Sheng ceremony, which involves tossing Yee Sang, symbolising prosperity and well-being in the community.

Beyond festivities, this annual visit also serves as a platform for leaders to exchange views and discuss infrastructure development in their respective areas.

Among those present were SUPP Bintangor Branch deputy chairman Chieng Buong Ong, SUPP Bintangor Branch secretary Lau Sie Hing, and other invited guests.
