KUALA LUMPUR: As part of their working trip, a delegation from the Sarawak Public Communications Unit (UKAS), led by Deputy Sarawak Secretary (Operation) Datuk Hii Chang Kee, paid a courtesy visit to the High Commission of the Republic of Singapore in Kuala Lumpur on Thursday.
According to a UKAS news report, the visit aimed to enhance public feedback management and improve service delivery in Sarawak. Accompanying the delegation were UKAS director Awang Putrayusrie Awang Redzuan, along with six senior officers and three junior officers.
A key focus of the discussion was UKAS’ upcoming benchmarking trip to Singapore, where the delegation plans to engage with key government agencies responsible for managing public feedback and service execution.
During the meeting, Counsellor Charlene Chan of the Singapore High Commission provided insights into Singapore’s collaboration with the Sarawak government.
She also outlined the roles of various agencies in handling public feedback and strengthening government-community engagement.
As the primary agency overseeing ‘Talikhidmat,’ Sarawak’s official public complaint and feedback platform, UKAS sees this collaboration as a crucial step to refining its service delivery processes.
By learning from Singapore’s expertise in digital governance and citizen engagement, UKAS aims to enhance the efficiency and responsiveness of public services in Sarawak.
This visit reflects UKAS’ commitment to strengthening government-community relations and ensuring effective public feedback management.
