KUCHING: Datuk Sharifah Hasidah Sayeed Aman Ghazali calls for lasting unity, urging everyone to strengthen relationships and prioritise community wellbeing beyond Ramadan.

The Deputy Minister in the Premier Department (Law, MA63, and State-Federal Relations) said that Ramadan serves as a training period to become better, purer, and more prosperous.

“It is good to return home during the month of Ramadan. Especially in a month when we give charity, do good deeds, and engage in worship. Let us continue this into the following months.

“Otherwise, we will stop caring. Actually, Ramadan is to train us. To be better, purer, and more prosperous. So, let us continue this practice,” she said.

She said during the food basket distribution ceremony and the Bubur Lambuk distribution programme at Dewan Masyarakat Kampung Tunku, here on Tuesday (March 11).

She also expressed gratitude to Association of Importers and Traders of Motor Vehicles Malaysia (PEKEMA) Sarawak and Biro Kebajikan Parti Pesaka Bumiputera Bersatu (PBB)  N7 Semariang for organising the donation of 150 food aid baskets to recipients.

Additionally, the Malaysia Drugs Prevention Association (PEMADAM) Sarawak and the Sarawak United National Youth Organisation (SABERKAS) also prepared around 400 servings of bubur lambuk and distributed them, along with dates, to the local community.

党Today marks the day we hold a collaborative effort for the welfare and wellbeing of our community and society in the surrounding area of N7 Semariang throughout this Ramadan month.

We are also distributing bubur lambuk and dates to the surrounding community. This is a programme that is truly in line with the spirit and noble essence of the Ramadan month,・she said.
