KOTA SAMARAHAN: The ‘Berambeh Sahur’ programme continues to garner strong support in the Kota Samarahan parliamentary constituency, with hopes of it becoming a lasting cultural tradition, particularly among the youth.
Its MP who is also the Deputy Minister of Rural and Regional Development, Datuk Rubiah Wang commended the event which saw a high number of participation.
“This morning marks the beginning of the ‘Berambeh Sahur’ programme in Kota Samarahan, and the response has been very encouraging, with many villagers eagerly participating to enliven this programme and the mosque,” she said.
She said this during the programme held at Masjid Nurul Islam Kampung Pinang early Sunday morning.
The programme also provided an opportunity for Rubiah to distribute food baskets to 14 underprivileged individuals (asnaf) in Kampung Pinang.
“Seeing the cheerful faces and smiles of the aid recipients truly makes me happy, and I hope this contribution will ease their burdens and help them prepare for the blessed month of Ramadan,” she added.
