KUCHING: The Ihya Ramadan Camp plays a vital role in shaping the character of teenagers while also enhancing their spiritual, mental and physical well-being in line with Islamic teachings.

Deputy Prime Minister Datuk Seri Fadillah Yusof said the month of Ramadan is a time for Muslims to train themselves to be more disciplined.

“But more importantly, it is about educating our hearts.

“A person’s strength is not just in their physical body but begins in the heart,” he said.

He said this during the closing ceremony of the Ramadan Ihya Camp 2025 at the Institut Kemahiran Islam Malaysia Sarawak (IKMAS) in Telaga Air today.

Fadillah, who is also the Petra Jaya Member of Parliament, expressed his concern on education that has yet to reach its expected level.

He emphasised the importance of comprehensive planning to ensure that educational needs and community support can be identified and fulfilled.

“We need to have a complete database so that we can understand the needs of every individual in our society, especially in terms of leadership and community development.

“Petra Jaya must be strengthened to become a truly successful force in all aspects – education, entrepreneurship and social development,” he said.

He also urged all parties to collaborate across various sectors in society to ensure sufficient opportunities and spaces for exploring future success.

“Thank you for everyone’s support.

“Let us pray that the small contributions we make today will become great rewards in the hereafter,” he added.
