KUCHING: A lorry driver and his two attendants sustained injuries following a head-on collision along Jalan Pending this morning.
The Fire and Rescue Department (Bomba) said the accident, involving a three-tonne lorry and a Toyota Avanza, happened at around 7.35 am near Icom Square.
Firefighters from Padungan station were dispatched to the scene following an emergency call.
Upon arrival, they found the lorry driver trapped in his seat and extrication works were carried out using rescue tool.
The attendants, who sustained minor injuries, and the Avanza driver, who was unharmed, managed to exit the vehicles unaided.
The injured individuals were handed over to paramedics for initial treatment before being taken to the hospital for further medical care.
Their identities and the extent of their injuries are not known.
