KUCHING: A total of 100 individuals, which includes participants, coaches and parents, gathered at Dewan Sa’ati, SUPP Headquarters today for the Sarawak Aesthetic Group Gymnastics (AGG) Carnival 2025.

The two-day event, organised by the Sarawak Aesthetic Group Gymnastics Association (SAGGA) and sanctioned by the Malaysian Aesthetic Group Gymnastics Association (MAGGA), aims to promote the growth and appreciation of AGG in Malaysia.

Today’s highlight was the National AGG Development Programme Competition, which featured 70 gymnasts aged between four and 25 years old competing across categories ranging from Kinder AGG to Level 6.

Routines were judged based on the National Age Division (NAD) Technical Rule Book, showcasing the sport’s unique blend of athleticism and artistry.

The prize-giving ceremony was officiated by Political Secretary to the Premier, Kho Teck Wan, who represented Deputy Premier, Datuk Amar Dr Sim Kui Hian, during the prize presentation.

Participating clubs included Kickstart Gymnastics (Selangor), Mine Dance Studio (Sarawak), Spade Team AGG Club (Sarawak), and Track & Dance (Sarawak), with a large contingent proudly representing Sarawak.
