KUCHING: The Kuching South City Council (MBKS) has issued assessment bills for the first and second half of 2025 via email to all ratepayers within its jurisdiction.
In a statement, MBKS advised ratepayers who have not received their bills to either subscribe to its e-billing service or obtain a copy at the MBKS One-Stop Service Counter along Jalan Padungan, or at the Urban Transformation Centre (UTC) on Level 1, Jalan Bukit Mata.
The deadline for the first half-year payment is May 31, while the due date for the second half is October 31.
MBKS reminded ratepayers that any payment made after the respective deadlines will incur a one percent surcharge.
“No consideration will be given to waive the surcharge on the grounds of non-receipt of assessment bills,” the council stressed.
To facilitate timely payment, MBKS will open its One-Stop Service Centre on Saturday, May 24 from 8 am to 4 pm, and Sunday, May 25 from 8 am to 12 noon.
Ratepayers are encouraged to utilise e-payment platforms such as www.paybillsmalaysia.com, service.sarawak.gov.my, Sarawak Pay, or internet banking through participating banks including CIMB, Standard Chartered, Rakyat, Bank Islam, Public Bank, BSN, and JomPay.
Alternatively, payments can also be made at BSN counters, SESCO and Kuching Water Board counters, post offices, DBKU, MPP, UTC and MBKS payment counters.
MBKS also accepts credit card payments at its designated counters.
