Leaders mourn passing of Juma’ani, remember her grace and humility

KUCHING: Condolence messages have poured in from federal and state leaders following the passing of Puan Sri Datuk Amar Juma’ani Tuanku Bujang, the wife of Premier Datuk Patinggi Tan Sri Abang Johari Tun Openg.

Former Prime Minister Datuk Seri Najib Razak expressed his sorrow, saying he had received the sad news of her passing early this morning.

“My deepest condolences to Abang Johari and the family for their loss.

“May the soul of the late Juma’ani be granted mercy and placed among the righteous,” Najib wrote in a Facebook post today.

Deputy Prime Minister Datuk Seri Fadillah Yusof also expressed sadness, describing the loss as a significant one not only for the family but for all Sarawakians.

“My heartfelt condolences to the Premier and the entire family,” he said.

Deputy Premier Datuk Amar Dr Sim Kui Hian described the late Juma’ani as a gentle and humble giant, a source of strength to many, and a dear friend to his family.

“My deepest condolences to Abang Johari and family on the passing of Juma’ani.

“She will always be remembered,” said Dr Sim.

Works Minister Datuk Seri Alexander Nanta Linggi also expressed his grief, stating that her passing this morning is a profound loss, not only to her family, but to the people of Sarawak who knew and cherished her for her gracious and humble nature.

Deputy Minister of Economy Datuk Hanifah Hajar Taib noted that the late Juma’ani’s passing was a major loss, not only to her family but to the people of Sarawak who deeply respected her kind and dignified character.

“Let us all pray that her soul is granted divine mercy and placed among the faithful and righteous,” Hanifah said.
