KUCHING: Mini Miss Global 2024, Aaisyah Batrisya Putit, 10, has made the country and state proud once again, after being crowned Miss Royal Grand World Junior Tourism Ambassador International 2025.

Last year, Aaisyah the only sole participant from Malaysia, won the title Mini Miss Global 2024.

The bright young girl, who hails from SK RPR Jalan Astana, is the first Malaysian to ever win the prestigious Miss Royal Grand World Junior Tourism Ambassador International title.

“I feel so happy because I’m the first Malaysian to win the Royal Grand title. I will give my full commitment to the organisers and make them proud of me as the titleholder. My reign will last for one year,” said Aaisyah.

The competition, which featured 25 participants from 10 countries, tested contestants on various aspects including talent, public speaking, stage presence and cultural awareness.

Aaisyah impressed the judges with her eloquent speech and confidence, particularly during the segment where contestants were required to promote tourism in their home countries.

According to her coaches, Angela Martin and Viviana Lin Winston, the young beauty queen had undergone two years of preparation, with six months of focused training leading up to this international pageant.

“In this competition, the speech category is very important. Aaisyah focused on promoting Malaysia and Sarawak, our culture, food, and tourism. She’s very strong in public speaking, and that gave her an edge,” said Angela.

Her mother, Suraimi Bujang, said Aaisyah is also doing very well in her studies and school activities.

“She’s always been active in school activities, such as public speaking, competitions, anything the school organises.

“So it’s about balance. On weekends, we send her for pageant training, catwalk, speech, dance,” she said.

Both of Aaisyah’s parents are teachers, and they fully support their daughter’s interest in pageantry.

“We’re proud of her achievements, especially at such a young age. This is her own passion, and we’re here to support her all the way.”
