KUCHING: The National Higher Education Fund Corporation (PTPTN) is expanding its strategic network with government agencies through a courtesy visit to the Sarawak National Security Council (MKN) on Monday.

The meeting not only aimed to foster closer ties but also provided an opportunity for both parties to exchange information and gain deeper insights into each agency’s roles in serving the public.

PTPTN Sarawak’s Director, Yussuf Chik, said the agency is no longer solely focused on providing student loans but also offers savings products such as SSPN Prime and SSPN Plus, which bring long-term benefits to students and their families.

“Through SSPN Plus, the public can save as little as RM30 to RM500 a month. It also includes takaful contributions, is syariah-compliant, and government-guaranteed,” he explained.

Meanwhile, Sarawak MKN’s Security Director, Mohammad Haffizie Putit, welcomed the visit, describing it as a meaningful step toward strengthening collaboration and information-sharing between agencies.

“MKN is always open to receiving visits from other government bodies to enhance bilateral cooperation in delivering the best services to the community,” he said.
