KUCHING: Two three-year-old boys were seriously injured, while their parents were also hurt when their car crashed into a tree at Jalan FAC – Kampung Selang here this afternoon (Aug 30).
Fire and Rescue Department (Bomba) said its personnel from the Petra Jaya station received an emergency call at 3.15 pm and a team were immediately dispatched to the scene.
“Upon arrival, it was found that the boys had been rescued by members of the public, while the couple were extricated by firefighters,” it said in a statement.
Firefighters carried out a size-up of the scene and used a stretcher to evacuate the injured.
The Emergency Medical Rescue Services (EMRS) team provided initial treatment before handing the injured over to the ambulance crew for further care.
