There we were in the early hours of a beautiful Monday morning
A father-daughter team, the start of a new adventure in September 2025!
Before the rooster crowed, we made a beeline for the Kuching Waterfront
The beauty of the sunrise beckoned – a perfect start to a new day in Kuching!
On arrival at the Kuching Waterfront, we headed to our favourite vantage point
Yes, the Darul Hana Bridge – a front-row seat – breathtaking views of the sunrise!
The rising sun, like a paint brush, transformed the surroundings with fresh vibrant hues
Enveloped in the serenity of the early morning, it was truly a cathartic experience!
As the sun moved across the sky, we made our way to the jetty (Pangkalan Sapi)
The opportunity to take in the sights from Sarawak’s iconic river taxi (perahu tambang)
Two boat rides – first on the traditional wooden river taxi powered by a petrol engine
Followed by a quick tour on a boat, retrofitted with an electric propulsion system and battery.
An eye-opener – experiencing firsthand the transformation of Sarawak’s iconic river taxis
The fully electric boats – aligned with Sarawak’s vision for a sustainable, low-carbon future
Our next stop – the Open-Air Market – a hearty breakfast at Stall No. 7 (Rodhiah binti Jeman)
An assortment of local culinary delights – yes, Kuching is a UNESCO Creative City of Gastronomy!
