KUCHING: Two of Malaysia’s legendary rock bands, Search and XPDC, are set to electrify fans at Stadium Sarawak on December 13.

The ‘Fenomena Samurai’ Concert holds out much promise of nostalgia, surprises, and the unmatched aura of rock veterans.

XPDC will take the stage with its iconic line-up, Izo, Lola, Eddie, Arif, and Mamu, with hints of a surprise guest appearance from a former band member sure to thrill long-time followers.

Meanwhile, Search will feature founding members, Din and Kid, supported by new vocalist, Pasha.

Adding to the excitement, one of the band’s former lead singers is expected to make a special comeback appearance, making the night even more memorable.

Tourism, Creative Industry, and Performing Arts Minister, Datuk Seri Abdul Karim Rahman Hamzah, said the event will be a major draw not only for Malaysian rock fans but also for audiences from neighbouring countries such as Indonesia, Brunei Darussalam, and Singapore.

He said that his ministry will continue to support such concerts as part of efforts to strengthen the local music industry while providing high-quality entertainment for the public.

“What matters most is that this event runs smoothly, because it not only brings joy to the people but also offers motivation and opportunities for those in the performing arts.

“Singers and musicians, both established and emerging, deserve to be given platforms like this to showcase their talents,” he said during a press conference here today.
