KUCHING: Head of State (TYT) Tun Pehin Sri Dr Wan Junaidi Tuanku Jaafar received a courtesy call from Tourism, Creative Industry and Performing Arts Minister Datuk Seri Abdul Karim Rahman Hamzah at the Astana Negeri on Monday (Oct 20).
Abdul Karim, who is also Youth, Sports and Entrepreneur Development Minister, as well as the minister in charge of the Sarawak Regatta and Kuching Waterfront Festival 2025, extended invitations to Wan Junaidi and his wife Toh Puan Datuk Patinggi Fauziah Mohd Sanusi to attend several upcoming events in early November.
Among them is the Sarawak Drum Festival, scheduled for Nov 1 at the Kuching Waterfront, which is expected to be attended by Sultan of Pahang Al-Sultan Abdullah Ri’ayatuddin Al-Mustafa Billah Shah and Tengku Ampuan Pahang Tunku Azizah Aminah Maimunah Iskandariah, alongside Premier Datuk Patinggi Tan Sri Abang Johari Tun Openg.
On Nov 2, Wan Junaidi will attend the closing ceremony of the Sarawak Regatta as guest of honour, while Al-Sultan Abdullah will grace the event as royal guest.
