KUCHING: The Youth Section of Kuching and Samarahan Pan Chern Liew Clan Association is calling on members of the public to roll up their sleeves for a good cause at its upcoming Blood Donation Campaign.

This programme will take place this Sunday from 9 am to 2 pm at Boulevard Kuching Shopping Mall (Mall 2, First Floor, Event Hall South, in front of Supersave).

The campaign is facilitated by The Federation of Kuching and Samarahan Divisions Chinese Associations Youth Section, Sarawak (Federation Youth), and co-organised by Ghee Hua Group, with the support of the Sarawak General Hospital (SGH) Blood Bank, Malaysian Red Crescent Kuching District, and the 14th Kuching City Scout Group.

With a target of 150 pints of blood, the campaign is part of a community-wide effort to help replenish SGH’s blood bank and raise awareness of the importance of regular blood donation.

“Every drop counts, your contribution can help save lives and strengthen our community. We hope to encourage more new and young donors to step forward and make blood donation a regular habit,” said chairperson of the Liew Clan Youth Group, Liew Sik Chai, through a press statement yesterday (Nov5).

“As a token of appreciation, gifts will be presented to all successful donors on a first-come, first-served basis. The organisers also urged the public to spread the word and bring along friends and family to participate in the life-saving effort,” she said.

The organisers expressed gratitude to Boulevard Kuching Shopping Mall for providing the venue, and to their many sponsors for their unwavering support.

Among them are Chenson Health Product Sdn Bhd (Kokokam Tea), Sundrop Juices Sdn Bhd (Canned Drinks), Syarikat Kion Hoong Cooking Oil Mills Sdn Bhd (Margarine), Kuching BB Bee Hoon Factory (Bee Hoon), Nutrigold East Malaysia (Chocolate Drinks), Kim Teck Cheong (Sarawak) Sdn Bhd – L’Oreal CPD (Cosmetics), Harrisons Sarawak Sdn Bhd (Pocket Tissues), Minsiang Trading (KCH) Sdn Bhd (Drinks & Snacks), and many others.
