KUCHING: Terra Music 2025 returns this year as a celebration of youth creativity, empowerment, education, and entrepreneurship.
It will take place at Cats.FM on Nov 22 from 11am until late evening. The event will showcase a dynamic mix of international and local performers, alongside a full day of activities designed to inspire and elevate young creatives in Sarawak.
Terra Music 2025 brings together music, lifestyle, knowledge-sharing, and awareness of subculture in one vibrant space.
By spotlighting collectives such as Kroma Kuning, Nusan, Mujo Joros, VIBIN’ by Lek., 9ElevenCrew and others, the event aims to show that Sarawak, despite its smaller population, has a thriving creative scene rooted in diverse subcultures.
These collectives represent a new generation of local heroes who are deeply involved in the arts, music, skateboarding, custom motorcycles, and other creative pursuits.
They have organised numerous grassroots events throughout Sarawak, contributing significantly to the state’s artistic and cultural landscape.
Terra Music 2025 serves as a platform to introduce their efforts to the wider public and highlight their impact, which often goes unrecognised in the mainstream arena.
This year’s line-up includes two renowned Indonesian bands: Barasuara and Efek Rumah Kaca (ERK).
Barasuara’s hit Fatalis won the Best Rock Duo/Group/Collaboration at the 2023 Indonesian Music Awards (AMI), while ERK remains one of Indonesia’s pioneering indie bands whose influence has shaped acts such as Payung Teduh, Hindia, and White Shoes & The Couples Company.
Sarawak’s own homegrown talents will also take centre stage, featuring performances by Viceroyz, Serangga, Heroine, Jon Kennedy, The Outsider’s Edge, and Kugiran A. Sazali; all of whom have been actively performing at the grassroots level through sheer passion and personal effort.
Tickets are priced at RM119, with bundle deals available from RM288 for four pax, while students can enjoy a special rate of RM70.
