BALI: The Land Custody and Development Authority (LCDA) has earned regional recognition after securing the Community Initiative Award at the Asia Corporate Excellence and Sustainability Awards 2025 yesterday (Nov 27).

The event, organised by the MORS Group and held at the Intercontinental Hotel Jimbaran here, drew more than 800 entries from across Asia competing in multiple categories including Community Initiatives.

LCDA was represented by its chief operating officer Kusyairi Bostani of LCDA Holdings Sdn Bhd, who received the award during the ACES Gala Night, accompanied by senior manager Saiful Bahari Amra Ramly and officers Nur Farahasheela Bohari, Kustino Satiman and Kimberly Dickson.

The award was presented by Dr Jayanthi Desan, chief consultant and partner of Aubrens, witnessed by Deputy Minister of Tourism of the Republic of Indonesia Ni Luh Puspa.

In a statement, LCDA said the recognition reflects its ongoing efforts to uplift local communities through sustainable development, socio economic empowerment and meaningful collaboration with stakeholders.

For this year’s submission, LCDA highlighted the Darul Hana Redevelopment Project, a flagship initiative aimed at inclusive participation and long term positive outcomes under the Sarawak Post-Covid Development Strategy 2030.

This latest win marks LCDA third major recognition in community driven development since 2023, following the GLC of the Year Community at Heart Award at the Sustainability and CSR Malaysia Awards in Kuala Lumpur and the Corporate Excellence in Community Development for Sustainability 2023 Award at the International Business Review Borneo Awards in Kuching.

LCDA said it is honoured to be recognised among leading organisations in Asia for excellence, sustainability and transformative community development.
