KUCHING: Tengku Ampuan Pahang Tunku Azizah Aminah Maimunah Iskandariah Almarhum Sultan Iskandar Al-Haj has arrived at Kuching International Airport (KIA) yesterday (Dec 6) for a four-day official visit to the city.
Her Majesty, accompanied by Tengku Puteri Raja Tengku Puteri Jihan Azizah ‘Athiyatullah Al-Sultan Abdullah Ri’ayatuddin Al-Mustafa Billah Shah and the royal delegation, arrived at 9.30 pm and was received by Datin Dayang Halimah Abang Paul.
Also present to welcome Her Majesty were Datin Patinggi Puan Sri Datuk Wira Lorna Enan Muloon Chan and Old Kuching Smart Heritage (OKSHE) advisor Datuk Sabariah Putit.
Today, Tunku Azizah is scheduled to officiate the ‘Sense of Malaysia’ launch at KIA in the morning before attending the launching ceremony of the Borneo International Textile Festival (BITF) 2025 at the Borneo Cultures Museum in the afternoon.
In the evening, Her Majesty will grace the official launching of BITF 2025 at Pullman Hotel Kuching.
On Monday morning, the Tengku Ampuan Pahang is set to attend the BITF 2025 Seminar at Pullman Hotel Kuching, followed by a visit to the Juma’ani Pavilion in conjunction with the third anniversary of the Borneo fashion hub in the afternoon.
Her Majesty and the delegation are scheduled to depart to Pahang on Tuesday.
