Premier touches down in Nanjing for working visit

NANJING: Premier Datuk Patinggi Tan Sri Abang Johari Tun Openg arrived in Nanjing this evening, marking the start of his working visit in China.

His flight from Don Mueang International Airport, Bangkok, touched down at Nanjing Lukou International Airport at 3:19 pm where he was met by Petroleum Sarawak Bhd (PETROS) Chairman, Tan Sri Datuk Amar Hamid Bugo, and PETROS Senior Vice-President for Human Capital, Corporate Relations and Services, Ismail Said.

Also present were China Jiangsu International Economic Technology Cooperation Group Ltd (CJI) Chairman, Song Qinbo; CJI Vice-President, Deng Ya Jun, and CJI General Manager for Overseas Company, II Xu Bo.

The delegation proceeded to the Ritz-Carlton Hotel Nanjing where the Premier was welcomed by Deputy Minister of Utility (Sarawak Energy and PETROS), Datuk Ibrahim Baki; PETROS Group Chief Executive Officer, Datuk Janin Girie; and PETROS Senior Vice-President for Growth, Datuk Joseph Podtung.

The Premier is set to attend a welcoming dinner hosted by PETROS, followed by a briefing session.

The dinner brings together state officials, PETROS representatives, and members of the Sarawak delegation involved.
