KOTA SAMARAHAN: What began as a modest gadget business built on honesty and consistency has grown into a trusted one-stop centre for both technology and gold trading, with Chegu Aiman Gold and Gadget officially opening its Kota Samarahan branch.
For founder and director Aiman Abdul Hamid, better known as Chegu Aiman, the new outlet represents more than just an expansion of business operations.
It reflects a strong vote of confidence in the Kota Samarahan community and in the long-standing relationship the company has built with its customers.
“Today is not merely about opening a new branch. It is about trust.
“Trust in Kota Samarahan’s potential, trust in the local community, and most importantly, the continued trust of our customers who have supported us from the very beginning,” he said during the opening ceremony on Saturday.
The shop was already lively early in the day, with customers arriving even before the official opening.

Many had come not only to purchase gadgets such as iPhones, iPads and tablets, but also to take advantage of Chegu Aiman’s gold trading services, which have become a key attraction.
Aiman said the business has been established in the gadget industry for years, building its reputation through honest dealings, quality products and sincere customer service.
As the business grew, the team began exploring ways to further simplify transactions for customers, particularly those in the Kota Samarahan area.
That process led to the introduction of gold trading services at its Metrocity branch, Kuching, which received encouraging response.
Following the success of the first branch, the company decided to extend the same services to Kota Samarahan.
With the new outlet, residents no longer need to travel far or incur additional costs to buy or sell gold.

Customers can now sell gold at competitive prices through a process that is simple, secure and transparent.
In an interview, Aiman explained that the decision to open in Kota Samarahan was supported by detailed market and competitive analysis.
He noted that existing gold traders in the area often sold at higher prices while buying from customers at much lower rates.
“Our priority is honesty and price transparency,” he said, adding that Chegu Aiman Gold currently sells gold at RM595 per gramme without workmanship charges, compared to prices exceeding RM600 per gramme elsewhere, often with additional fees.
He added that the company also offers higher buying prices for gold, purchasing at RM525 per gramme compared to rates as low as RM440 offered by some competitors, giving customers significantly better returns.
“If customers sell their gold with us, the difference they receive can reach almost RM800, depending on the weight.
“It is a win-win situation. Customers get the best price, and we build long-term trust,” he said.
Aiman also expressed his appreciation to customers, business partners, family members and friends who have supported the journey of Chegu Aiman Gold and Gadget.
“We remain committed to the values of honesty and trust. We hope our presence in Kota Samarahan will bring benefits, create opportunities and become part of the area’s growth,” he said.
