KUCHING: A total of 146 recipients have been selected to receive Sarawak state honours at an investiture ceremony to be held at the Astana Sarawak Grand Hall, here tomorrow (Jan 20).
According to a report by TVS, the full rehearsal for the State Honours Investiture Ceremony was conducted smoothly today at the same venue.
The ceremony tomorrow will be officiated by Head of State Tun Pehin Sri Dr Wan Junaidi Tuanku Jaafar.
The rehearsal began with a briefing by Senior Private Secretary to the Head of State and Deputy Registrar of Honours Junih Salleh Ahmad.
TVS said those to receive the state honours comprise state assemblymen, department heads, district officers, community and village leaders (KMKK), political party members, non-governmental organisation representatives, as well as individuals who have contributed significantly to Sarawak’s development.
The ceremony is also expected to be attended by the wife of the Head of State Toh Puan Datuk Patinggi Fauziah Mohd Sanusi, along with other distinguished guests.
