MUKAH: The Sarawak Government’s commitment to empowering youth at the grassroots level was reinforced with the full completion of the upgraded Mukah Youth Activity Centre under the Rural Transformation Project (RTP) 2025.

Tellian state assemblyman, Royston Valentine, said the project, implemented by the Mukah Division Public Works Department (PWD), will serve as a dedicated hub for youth activities in Mukah, continuing the role previously played by the centre at the former Dalat and Mukah District Council (MDDM) building.

“A variety of digitalisation-related activities will be carried out in this building, such as programmes to empower entrepreneurship, modern agriculture, as well as sports and recreational activities.

“Not only that, the building will also serve as an operational office for associations and clubs in Mukah, enabling organisations to be better structured,” he said.

Royston said this during the handover of the completed project to the chairman of the Mukah Youth Activity Centre, Tarmizi Karnain Abdah, here on Wednesday.

He added that the project reflects the Sarawak Government’s continued commitment to strengthening youth development through the provision of conducive facilities and sustained support for human capital development at the grassroots level.
