KUCHING: Head of State, Tun Pehin Sri Dr Wan Junaidi Tuanku Jaafar and his wife, Toh Puan Datuk Patinggi Fauziah Mohd Sanusi attended a dinner hosted by Tun Jugah Foundation chairman Datuk Patinggi Tan Sri Leonard Linggi Jugah on Monday (Jan 26).

The dinner, co-hosted by Datuk Seri J.C. Fong and Datin Seri Annie Yeo Choo Sim, was held at The Cove, Jalan Sultan Tengah, here.

Upon arrival, Wan Junaidi and his wife, accompanied by their daughter Sharifah Nong-Jasima and her husband Muhammad Nur Hakeem Yusop, were warmly received by the hosts and invited guests.

The dinner provided an opportunity for Wan Junaidi to exchange views on current issues, including state development and the well-being of the people, in a warm and cordial setting.

In addition to strengthening ties of friendship, the gathering further reinforced good relations between the state leadership and key figures from the corporate and industrial sectors who play an important role in Sarawak’s development.

The couple expressed their appreciation for the invitation and conveyed their hopes that the close ties and the spirit of unity would continue to be strengthened for the well-being and progress of Sarawak.

Also present were PETROS chief executive officer (CEO) Datuk Janin Girie and his wife Datin Sylvia Thomas Salang; along with PETROS senior vice president (Sarawak Resource Management) Datuk Abang Arabi Abang Narudin; senior vice president (Growth) Datuk Joseph Podtung and  senior vice president (Human Capital, Corporate Relations & Services)  Ismail Said.
